One of the reasons for our trip to Washington in March was the CCF Reunion. CCF was the college ministry we were a part of at Western Washington University. This ministry was pivotal to our overall growth as people and also gave us lifelong friendships. It was refreshing and inspiring to be on campus again and see all of our old friends.
Here is a photo of my old room at the Mansion, a house that I lived in with ten other girls the year before John and I got married. We got to show Emma and Johnny where I lived......
And also the ladder that daddy climbed up to ask me to marry him right out my bedroom window.....
We spent the weekend with friends that we hadn't seen for a long time. It was great to catch up and also see how fast our families are all growing.....
A group of us stayed at the Belleme's house for the weekend. They were, as always, so hospitable and patient with our growing group (It seems like each time we get together another child has been added). We even left six of the kiddos all night with babysitters so that we could go to the Friday event and they did great. I love that we were able to experience such wonderful things in college and then journey through life together...getting married...having kids....maybe someday going on a retirement trip without the kids??...ok I am getting ahead of myself....
Johnny was NOT HAPPY about being in the boy photo....
John and I were so thankful we were able to make it to Bellingham. It was a great way to remind us of how much our college experience meant to us and confirm our desire to center our life around college students. It was good for our soul....
