The Happiest Place on Earth

In May, we had THE BEST vacation.  We headed down south with Pappy and Yaya to spend three full days at Disneyland and Disneyland Adventure.   We spent our first day at the Magic Kingdom taking advantage of a weekday lack of crowds, our second day at Disneyland Adventure, and our third day taking in the parade, main street and anything else we had missed.  Emma was tall enough to ride everything but Indiana Jones and was brave enough to ride all of the rides.  Johnny would have been right there with her but was about six inches too short so got to ride his favorite ride, Buzz Lightyear, numerous times while we went on some of the bigger rides with Emma.  Highlights include Emma LOVING Space Mountain (my all time favorite ride), John and Johnny making a custom made light saber, Emma's need to have as many character signatures as she could get and Yaya's almost equal excitement over the signatures, discovering the "parent pass" and then using them in the evening when my parents took the kids back to the hotel and let John and I roam the park kid free, having a Disneyland giant ice cream cone while we waiting to watch the parade, Emma taking a stroll with Mary Poppins, watching Dumbo and Tinker Bell fly in the sky with the fireworks, experiencing Disneyland with my kids the way I remembered as a child with my parents there with us, I could go on and on ....

I am the only adult that could handle the tea cups.  And of course it had to be a pink tea cup.....

So glad that I married such a fun loving guy and a great dad.  We both considered this one of our best vacations and loved being there together...the kids and grandparents were an added bonus :)

Emma and Yaya on the crazy ferris wheel at California Adventure......

This was the highest and scariest ride Johnny was allowed on and he LOVED it.

John and Johnny making his light saber....

Emma even got to meet Cinderella while dressed in her Cinderella costume complete with undo.

We spent a lot of time walking with no complaints from Pappy and Yaya.  What troopers!

Our last night we all stayed late and took in the fireworks.  What a great end to a great vacation!!!
