New Years with Friends

For the past seven years we have tried to get together with friends each time we have visited Washington over the holidays.  This year it was as easy as a drive to Wenatchee.  We had a great time sledding and catching up with good friends.  We missed the Thompson's this year but look forward to a summer reunion......

We spent New Years playing Catan and realized now that our kiddos are getting older we were all able to stay up well past midnight!!

Christmas at Our House

It ended up that we celebrated Christmas early with both sides of the family so were able to be back in Spokane for Christmas Eve and Christmas.  It was fun to have the kids wake up Christmas morning at our new house.......

Emma bought her own Christmas presents this year and was so proud to be able to hand them out on Christmas Eve.  We loved seeing what she picked out for us.  Her sweet and generous spirit continues to amaze and bless our family.

Yaya and Pappy came back to celebrate Christmas at our house as well.  It was great to have them there to celebrate.

We made cookies to leave out for Santa on Christmas eve......

Christmas with the Stagge Family

With my sister and her family in the states we took advantage and stayed in Wenatchee for the week before Christmas for some good old fashioned Christmas fun.  We decorated gingerbread houses.....

Lots of fun playing in the snow.......

Went on a horse drawn sleigh ride in the mountains........

And of course celebrated Christmas.......

We had a lot of snow while we were there so on the last night John, Uncle Nick, Aunt Heidi and the kids built a huge igloo.
