Last week John took Emma on her first of many date nights. Since I can remember, my dad used to take my sister and I out on a "date" a couple of times a year. I remember getting all dressed up to go out to dinner (my favorite thing to do as a child.....and as an adult....guess you don't change that much). I would get so excited for this one on one time with my dad and felt so special having this night out with him. We wanted to start this tradition in our family as well. They had a great time on their date night. Had dinner, got an ice cream cone and went shopping for Mommy's christmas present. Emma is looking forward to many more date nights to come.

a beautiful and worthwhile tradition to continue. We have made a point to do this with the girls as well. Something so special about for both us and them:)
